Personalized M&M's steps up its game: now offers photos on its candy.Monday, June 16. 2008 Last year I wrote about the customized M&M’s application where you can upload your corporate logo, add a few lines of custom text to create a candy that’s all your own. Well, now they’ve stepped up their game and allow you to - easily create and share M&M's in a personalized mix of colours, messages AND NOW PHOTOS! Now, don’t expect a full colour image on a piece of M&M's candy that is about one centimeter large. The reproduction is more like a black and white sketch, but the end result is still pretty impressive. There are a couple of things to know before you express yourself creatively... The website tells you to use nice words. Or said another way, don’t use any profanity because they “don’t want to leave a bad taste in anyone’s mouth.” And, you can’t upload a photo of a celebrity either. That’s off limits too.
Just last week I wrote about being able to purchase personalized Dove chocolate packages. It’s interesting to note that both M&Ms are under the Mars Inc. corporate umbrella. So, someone is doing it right in product development! Again, both are great examples of mass customization in the candy category!

Unfortunately, you are out of luck. I went to the www.mymms.com website and found this information about international orders: Shipping Outside the U.S. If you wish to ship product outside the U.S., please call Customer Service at 1.888.696.6788, and a representative will gladly assist you with your order. We are sorry but we do not currently ship custom printed M&M'S® Milk Chocolate Candies internationally. Anita Windisman
ya....was very disappointed to find out in order to ship to canada, there will be an additional US$60 surcharge.
Now trying to find a copy that does the same thing but cost a bit less |
